Considering this too, mainly because my local postie creeps me out :S or perhaps I should just stop answering the door in my PJs.
Is there a specific kind of post box you need to ask for for parcels?

I've got the smallest (cheapest!) box available. They just put a card when a parcel arrives and you go pick up from the shop. I had trouble with my first PO Box because it wasn't attached to a store so I could only pick up between 730am-930am.
In my new location they actually have some spare boxes and the last time I had a big book sent to me they left a key in one of those boxes instead of a card, so I could open the box, take my book and return my key into a return slot.
Post boxes are fantastic. The post office ladies even set aside a box addressed to my street address today because they knew sooner or later I would show up. I think it was around $70 or $80 for a year. You just get a regular post box as nothing bigger than a letter will fit anyway and they just place a card inside when you have a package to pick up.
I have a PO Box.
Small size. $90 a year
They dont care if you have parcels as they put a red or blue ticket to show you have a large parcel.
I love it as a means of protecting your security.
I have NO MAIL coming to my home.
I'm walking away from Transformers. Check out my sales thread
