Default News/Rumour - Que, Dino - HA Dino, Topspin

    Repost from TFW2005

TFW2005 Member and my good friend shadow2879 told us that he recently had the privilege to visit Hasbro.

Here’s a list of upcoming toys according to what he found out:

Two Movie Wheeljack/Que toys – One toy with the movie head and another with the “Classic” head [In my opinion they may have gone for a Transformers: Dark of the Moon Prequel Comic – Rising Storm Wheeljack]

    Two Mirage/Dino figures

    Mirage/Dino Human Alliance figure

Decepticon Remold of Mirage [Just like DarkSteel from Sideswipe]

Purplish Laserbeak repaint with a different head [Buzzsaw]

We thank Shadow for bringing us this juicy toy news. If these do go into production, then I’m sure many of you will have lighter wallets very soon.
In later posts, a Human Alliance Topspin and an after-DOTM movieverse figure line similar to HFTD was confirmed as well.
Which brings us to where we are today...

I've been waiting for Dino since 29 June 2011.

If they do make him it's likely to be a deluxe figure...I hope they don't screw it up though. He's so far the most expensive car ever made his way into the TF big screen and one of my fav movie bots. If Mirage turns out to be another piece of lackluster plastic lemon I'm gonna...I'm gonna...

Referring to the Dino mould, I presume?

    I want a Dino/Mirage figure!!

and a HA Mirage even more than that

so, i'm guessing buzzsaw will have that "blue eyes white dragon-esque" head from laserbeak's instructions

a human aliance topspin would be great! having HAs of all the wreckers fully armed would be so cool, (roadbuster kinda ruins the deluxe trio by not being armed to the teeth)

hmmm, decepticon version of mirage .... who could it be .... prehaps another beast wars character? it does say "just like dark steel from sideswipe" (a boy can dream can't he, lol )

Even if these do get produced and released, it won't be until next year, which is too late to use the DVD release to sell them. These movie characters should have been out in the first 6 months instead of 50 Bumblebee toys.
By the time these are released, retailers are going to be committing to Prime toys because it will be the one being marketed on-screen by then (with the cartoon).

....sigh and go "dammit, the haters were right?"

The idea of classic heads is an interesting approach. The big problem for me with the movie designs has always been the "Super Gobot" aesthetic about them. Yet you get the odd piece like Bludgeon/Banzaitron, which fits in perfectly with the Classicverse. It'll be interesting to see just how the classic heads turn out.

I can think of at least two four letter words that I can use to describe how I think the heads will turn out.

I will get these, but Mirage will be known as Dino and Wheeljack will be known as Q in my collection!

+1, Hasbro only have themselves to blame if they fail to sell in future
