It's one of the best Leader Class toys ever made. Normally I don't like toys that are based on show models, nor toys that have electronic sound gimmicks, as these things work to compromise engineering; but Animated Leader Megatron manages to pull all of this off and STILL be a really good toy! So considering the inherent limitations that designers had to work with, they did an incredibly commendable job.

I remember Toys R Us had Leaders slashed at half price at one stage; that would've been the best time to get him. Aftermarket prices seem to have remained low; I picked up the Shadow version of this toy loose for about forty something bucks.
