    whilst you are contemplating buying a dremel, you can go ghetto style and just heat up a hobby knife with a candle etc to make the cuts....

    ^I was contemplating filing away with a mini hacksaw blade, or does the heat really help?

    fark yeah...man, it'll cut through like butter...i've use that technique on ROTF rampage arms. i've also seen some people even use blade attachments on their soldering iron just to use it a hot knife....

    just be careful not to burn yourself and dont sniff the plastic fumes....

    but whatever you end up deciding on, just go for it man... worst case you can always patch up areas with putty or styrene etc if you over cut or break something...LOL
