    Default IDW Concept Art

TfWiki teases me at times, and this morning is no different.

What we have there are the concept sketches of Cybertronian Manterror and Spittor, by Don Figueroa, which explains why they're so gosh darn awesome.

    TfWiki tells me:

Concept art for IDW's Beast Wars: The Gathering comics reveal that Spittor's Cybertronian alt mode is a bipedal walker mechanoid of some type
Now, where do these sketches come from? Are they available for us to view somewhere? If so, could someone point me in the right direction?

Is a trade paperback like an omnibus or something?

A trade paperback is your standard comic collection, in softcover. Issue size can range, but is generally around the 6 issue range.

Generally large collections (ie lots of issues) will be referred to as an omnibus instead.

Trade paperback is the industry term, that somehow we the readers have started using. One of those odd little things.

Generally when someone says something like 'wait for the trade' they're really saying 'wait for the collected edition - whether that's softcover, hardcover, whatever'.

Well there you go, cheers Cat.

If anyone has the trade version of the Gathering, I'd be interested in seeing what other concept images might be in there.

I've gone through Don's deviant art site, but there isn't any of them sadly.

Not sure if you saw this one.

BTW, BW: The Gathering was available in regular sized trade paperback (and in single issue form, of course), was printed as a manga style digest (so no colour, just black, white, and greytones), and I'm pretty sure it was also done as an omnibus.

Now, the omnibus format used for these, if it follows their other general ones, is smaller in size than their regular stuff, and may not include all the extras like concept art etc (I don't think I own the omnibus of this one, for some reason?)
