I saw Smaug the other day and I liked it, Bilbo was pretty funny, as was the barrel scene.

Just finished Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. I liked it, the ending was pretty spooky to me. Gonna watch Salvation next.

Watched Grudge Match on the weekend. A comedy boxing movie with Stallone and DeNiro. A good laugh plus a funny cameo from Chael P. Sonnen for UFC fans
HATRED FOR JAMES VAN DER BEEK RISING!

Just watch 47 ronin ...and I found it quiet entertaining ...very good special effect ... but Keanu Reeves acting some what fallen badly and is now very wooden , there no emotional connection too the character what so ever!! ... Him in Man of Tai Chi was just shocking .... he did one fighting scene in the matrix and all the director think he can fight so casting him into these roles which doesn't suit him at all ....

How does that happen I wonder? Same thing happened with Nicholas Cage. Was it always there and we just accepted it / didn't notice or do we expect more from actors these days. Looking back, movies from the 80's for the most part seem cheesy and over-acted, even when you compare them to TV shows today with movie style filming and A-list actors (see True Detective). IMO, it's probably a bit of both - actors that are unable to re-invent themselves for today's audiences and were pigeon-holed into certain roles e.g. Steven Seagal.

Come to think about it I just remember him in the matrix and in bill and ted's only !! lol ..... I think a lot of it come down to the director , how he coach the actors in the scene ... but with big name actor they might just get away with doing what ever they like ...
