I've read the books and it explains the psychology behind the culture and why the dude is the way he is. That part was quite interesting.

The rest was trash... But my wife liked it so...

Watched Kingsman: The Secret Service last night. Very enjoyable film. There are a couple of scenes of prolonged gratuitous violence which overstay their welcome but otherwise it does a great job of delivering laughs, portraying the 'lad' culture, sweet action, springing the odd surprise, and generally being 'not that kind of movie'.

I liked the looks of it, and what you said has sold it now. Time to go see it soon. Thanks Champ

Ok so I was the sucker that took the wife to see 50 Shades for valentines day.
I haven't read the books but based on the movie this stuff is screwed up and I don't get how they call this 'porn for woman' when I just saw abuse to women?!?!?

Finally watched 'Frozen'. I fail to see what the big deal is, everyone seems to love this flick but I was very underwhelmed and actually fell asleep at one point. This says a lot since I really love animated flicks

I can't find it but I read a very interesting article written but a child psychologist explaining why Frozen was so successful. I'm not going to go into detail because its 5 am, but basically the article said that a lot of kids really got the accept who you are message behind the film and they find it empowering. The film even goes so far as to make fun of Disneys old formula when the guy gives Anna a hard time because she was going to marry someone she just met.

Ah, there ya go. Well that's kinda nice actually. Now I feel like a cynical old bastard because that was totally lost on me - I just kept thinking "C'mon, go nuts with the ice powers! Start putting on a global icy smackdown!"

Frozen is a Cute movie with characters like Sven and Olaf are instantly likable

the music really appeals to little ones especially the "let it go" song with both my niece and daughter attempting to sing it when that comes on, the sharkticon even demands her favourite songs and my niece even has the moves down, and some of the animation is pretty

and they have the moichendising aimed at the right demographic in plentiful amounts
