Yeah... there was never going to be a happy ending for that story and the story makes the audience wonder which was the right decision to make. Of course in the end Transmutate made her own choice. A very tragic story indeed (and not the only tragic story in Beast Wars) - one of the reasons why I love that show.

Does that make Bart Simpson a female as well then as he has a female voice actor? From what I remember there wasn't any direction given to the sexual orientation to Transmutate and was left open to interpretation

Yes, there is nothing within canon that designates it as a she, but the designation of "it" is so impolite. I'm a gentleman and refer to her as a she.

What should be of greater interest is the increase of power she had from having an unstable Spark. What caused the damage to her Spark? Did it have something to do with the Transmetal process? And could others perfect said process? Could there be a link between Transmutate's power and the additional powers held by Transmetal 2's? Mysteries.... (I'm open for a debate of hypotheticals in the newbie questions thread if anyone is keen)

Yeah I had a suspicion that it wasn't the real deal...stickers were everywhere and i had to do alot of "surgery" to fix them up...

I was so happy when they re-released Ratbat. Second-hand prices were obscene with most going for US$80 or more.
