Thanks to the Harvey Norman sale I picked up these for $63 total. With no postage cost and since AC:Revelations includes the full original Assassin's Creed, I'm thinking of this as three games for $21 each.

Some insane bargains lately fellow bots! Also, for those who aren't aware, JB Hi-Fi has a 20% off games sale ending today so might be worth a look-in for those after Kid Icarus, Street Fighter X Tekken etc on the cheap.

Well, after reading many, many differing opinions on Silent Hill: Downpour, I think I'm going to cave in and buy the game on its release date this Thursday. Main complaints seem to be aimed at a clunky combat system and frame rate issues, however, many sites claim it's a return to form for the series and is a better game than Homecoming (which, despite its faults, I actually found to be quite an engaging game throughout with some standout moments, and one of the most memorable boss encounters in the series). Just hope these two complaints aren't enough to ruin the experience, we'll see I guess!

Also, much as it pains me to do this it'll be the first traditional Silent Hill game I'll be buying for a non-Sony system. Apparently the 360 version has less frame-rate and screen tearing issues, and offers surround sound options which are strangely missing from the PS3 version...Bizarre. I imagine the 360 version will offer true 1080P too but can't confirm this. Like a moth to the flame, I am once again drawn to my favourite gaming series...

Asura's Wrath truly is an interactive media game rather than a true game.

It is set out in chapters like an episodic anime series, complete with credits, "previously" and "next episode" teasers.

There is a review of stats and ratings awarded at the end of each chapter, and whilst some chapters (each 15-20 minutes long with all the cut scenes) had 11 minutes of gameplay, others had 3 or less!

Mostly its a few minutes of attacking enemies to build up a rage bar, then once you begin the rage section it turns into a series of QTE presses.

Certainly only for fans of anime, and it is certainly a hire game as its only 6 hours long, with maybe 2 hours of actual gameplay!
Looking For: Wreckers Saga TPB Collection (with Requiem)

Sounds like Sword of the Berserk on Dreamcast.
