Is your's like mine in that you've also got a fair few of those bugs that are attracted to light (I've got a desk lamp on my PC desk
) smeared across your monitor?

I know it might not be the best way to clean it but a damp rag followed by tissues drying it off seems to clear those smeared-bugs right off.

Yep, damp rag/paper will do with a follow up dry off.
Also some anti-static alcohol wipes that you use on tv screens are good at oily residue.
But a tip, don't touch the screen when you point to things on it, use the mouse cursor to draw attention to stuff. Saves on greasy fingerprints, scratches from finger nails, and makes it last longer between cleanings as you won't have fingerprints all over the joint.

A damp, lint free cloth is best.
Tissues aren't recommended as most contain microscopic bits of fiberglass enough to cause a scratch.
I also wouldn't recommend using Alcohol or any other solvent.

I used 2 face washers, the first being damp followed by a dry one.
It came up great, thanks!
