Can't really imagine TMNT doing too well with the younger kids (who go to see school holiday movies) judging by the tone of the movie from the trailers.
I think people would have said the same thing 24 years ago, when I was that younger kid going to school holiday movies and the original TMNT movie came out and critics were going on about how it was too violent and a bad influence and unsuitable for kids.

I also can't believe how long ago that was.

    You have a good point
And back then we had the original toon that got us interested first, and gave us a reason to want to see the movie.
I guess the new Nick toon will do the same thing for today's kids too.

I can't wait for the next corporate Fatcat stooge to complain why Australians pirate so much.

Thats because TMNT was initially release for mature audiences in the comics. None of this blue, red, orange and pruple bs.

how is giving them colored bandanas taking away from the maturity of what TMNT was initially targeted to?
I know why they did give them colors but I dont get why you think its BS?

    *purple.

Edit: For some reason Bay's Donnie reminds me to much of Ghostbusters. I think its the head gear.... I just cant take him seriously when he looks like that.
Im always thinking he is going to fight ghosts and isnt a ninja. ha.

From the looks of the tv spots and short clips... this is turning out to be the Turtles movie I've always wanted! And I heard during a behind the scenes video... COWABUNGA!

I remember my teacher advising us against watching that movie and how it "contains 172 acts of violence" or something like that. Made us want to watch it more. I remember joining a really long line that went around the street corner to buy tickets, then after that going to play the TMNT arcade game until the session time started.

I know the poster is Australian but it needs to be approved first. They just thought they could get away with it in another region.
