How long ago was that? Because I remember collecting all the Beast Machines Red Rooster Meal toys by purchasing them separately without the meals in 2001, and I was paying $2 each IIRC. I definitely paid $2 for each of the Armada Happy Meal toys in 2003 and every other meal toy that I've collected since then I've paid $2 for.
