geez ebay is getting pretty clogged with fakes atm
It's utter crap isn't it.. really puts a sour taste in my mouth
the way some of them say they're a re-issue / ko edition.
some don't even mention that they're ko.
i pity the guys that are just starting out (for the g1 stuff anyway),.

I don't think those insecticons are even noted as being fakes... the only thing giving it away is the price. If they had been selling them for about $150, people would have jumped on them thinking they were original figures.

There is a guy on ioffer.com doing wholesale transactions from china. Flooding the market very effectively. Has a wide variety of g1 moulds. Worth a look at, if only so you know what to watch out for. The main giveaway with these china ko's is the packaging is bubble on card, inside "original" box. Apart from dinobot bommander grimlock, packaging is nearly 100% accurate. With the g1 rerelease id expect to see more of this crap circulating. Thats my 2 cents anyway......

Default Real or Fake Sonic Bomber?

I've been recently looking for a Cybertron Wingsaber/Sonic bomber and I've found a few on ebay from South Korea and I was wondering are they real or fake. From memory, it doesn't have a shiny chest plate but it pictures one.

Could someone help me identify them? Thanks.

IM no Expert but, The Japanese version of the Cybertron series - Galaxy Force in Jap has Wingsaber with a chromed up chest plate much like the one in your link.

If this is a Korean figure they usually are official releases of the toy in Korean Packaging. Much like how it was with the Beast wars figures released by Sonokong in Korea under license from Hasbro... closest source of course would be Taktom instead of Hasbro hence Galaxy force version instead of the painted chest only that is Hasbro's release. They release TF figures there in their own packaging bearing Korean characters writings instead of English or Jap writings. That's nationalism for yah, but these are officially sanctioned I believe by Hasbro/Taktom

I believe the figure is Legit.

Yeah, looks legit. Mocom took over from Sonokong with releasing Transformers in South Korea. I blame Gangnam.

    Yep, they're legitimately licensed Transformers.
