you can do kb and mouse emulation to your controller.
i haven't used these, but the it shouldn't be too hard for you to figure out.

its not perfect, but that's whats out there.
I have used joy2key for mapping my USB joypad to the keys.
It works, and responds fairly well for me, but I stopped using it because I found there are not enough buttons on the joypad (I have a 10 button version).
Although the joy2key program allows you to map one of the buttons to "flick" to another mapping scheme, and therefore in essence have many more buttons, I find this too much of a hassle, so I ended up doing the keyboard and mouse combo.
