I was tempted by this guy (after all, Warbot is good) but that air craft carrier mode just looks awful. If I didn't know it was supposed to be an aircraft carrier, I wouldn't be able to work it out.

I think the jet mode was the alt they started with and just winged it from there for the other.

If space carrier is not your thing (some people have already remarked it looks reminiscent of some of the Macross carriers), there are some fanmodes to make it look more like an earth carrier. They are quite gappy though, so you probably wouldn't like them if you didn't already like this guy.

Lol, that's a bit cheating to just drop a cover on top and call it a day. Nonetheless, it does look quite nice; I might be in the market for a 1/800 supercarrier model kit once my Assaulter arrives.

Yeah, doesn't look like its my cup of tea. I don't see the need for two flight modes, like plane and space carrier. Plus when this sort of thing happens, I feel like it's a bit of a designer's cop-out.

The assaulter carrier mode is definitely more focused and involved than that but I can see where you are coming from.

The amusing part is that it is actually a decent space style carrier. Considering that the macross ones really do bugger all transformation-wise, this, while not perfect, is a fairly good attempt.
