Yes, well proportinately more expensive. A couple of dollars ($2-3) more for a basic, a couple of dollars ($6-7) more for a deluxe , $15 more for a Ultra seems right.

To my knowledge it is because Toyworlds are individually owned franchises whereas the others are giant, leviathan-like behemoths with massive purchasing power.

$70 is a great price for an Ultra (In New Zealand)

Menasor, Sky Shadow etc in the Cybertron range were between $60 and $70AU when I found them in 2006. I think you guys are far to spoilt by sales..

Nah, you guys are just too docile.

Seriously, $70 is way too much tho.
Which brings us to where we are today...

Aye, it's definitely too much, but Toyworld is not the benchmark. There's a Toyworld in Elsternwick that sells figures for OVER RRP: $32 for Movie Deluxes, $54 for Voyagers.

Not by that amount they ever were. Their ultras used to be only about $5-$10 more, depending on what store you compare it to. And then there used to be other stores that were in line with the other retailers.

I have a feeling though that Hasbro has gotten in their ear about rrp just to get their inventory shipped..... because look at it, there's now three seperate transformers lines in retail right now. So it wouldn't surprise me if the other chains (target, kmart, etc), started at a min of $59.99-$64.99.
