Have you tried plugging it into other ports on your machine dude?

It worked today...I plugged it into a different usb then tried in the failed usb and both workedcomputers

Yeah, sometimes I find that my PC occasionally has a fit when I plug certain devices in whilst others are already in use; I think Windows' registry has the occasional fit in conjunction with certain hardware resources (IRQs) being taken up - Usually a reset remedies it.
