Hehe. i was thinking he could be a boxer getting ready. Unfortunately the mechanism is broken and the lacky is just there to hold his hand in place.
i've done my research and that button on top needs to come off to get the wrist out for repair. apparently it can't be done without breaking it off.
i'm going to try some hot water first. if thats no good, out with the pliers.

I've had mine since the late 70s, and it's still standing proud on top of my book case. Mine has exactly the same problem with the launching fist mechanism. The flaming tongue lever on mine is also broken (by a friend in the early 80s). And that's why I keep my toys MISB these days.
Recent Acquisitions: Missing Link Optimus, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper
    (Pre-)ordered: Missing Link Sunstreaker, Arcee
    Wants: Encore Headmasters!

I'll have to watch the show one day

(i'll dig the team out soon too, I can't wait to actually get a group shot , should be awesome)
The one with the solid V on its chest is Great Mazinger which is the sequel to Mazinger Z. Yeah, I remember seeing that fig as a Shogun Warrior.

I managed to fix it. Hot water from the kettle to get the mechanism out from the arm, Araldite and superglue to rebuild the latching mechanism. (i had to do it twice due to impatience) cut the spring down to take some pressure off it. Dremel the button off. more hot water onto the arm and force it back in (it won't go back in with the button sitting so proud). glue button back on.. all good

Cheers for the info. So did the 2 ever exist together or was it more like Mazinger Z turned into Great Mazinger?
