I'd say it's the pre-tf version going by the stamping.
Pre-tf Browning came in both blue and red leg versions. Blue should have a slight gold tinge to the chrome.

Got my FOC combaticons and the 6 kreon minifigs from Target. Best of all the combaticons wouldn't scan and to my surprise were put through for $16 each.

Also I will re-post later with the serial numbers for the kreons so that if someone is after a specific one it is easier to find.

Each one also comes with a little manual for robot or vehicle build instructions.

Good haul there Primus. Are the combaticons a good buy. I might buy Swindle and Brawl (maybe onslaught) for classicsverse.

As a mostly MISB collector i'm probably not the best person to ask as these bad boys will stay locked in plastic for the moment. I agree with you however that brawl and swindle look awesome and are my favourites. Onslaught's colours and size does not make him as good as he could be. Blast off and vortex vehicle modes look really good but robot form lacks a little,

RE: Browning. Yeah, I think you guys are right. The Microman catalogue image below shows one with blue parts instead of red:

But honestly, I wouldn't blame you for counting this toy as your Browning. Pretty damn close enough.

Anyway, here are some pics of what a TF Browning looks like (it's griffin's):
