Same thing happened with Predaking in 2004. I noticed about a week after the announcement that the preds were being reissued, Ebay was flooded with originals.

I have all 3 versions complete, I purchased them a long time ago. I've been thinking about buying the encore version and leaving him MISB, but I can't make up my mind!

I never purchased the encore omega, metroplex or sky lynx as I already had them. But as I always wanted other versions of them to display in alternate mode, I ended up buying all 3 originals complete in c9 for a lot less than the encores.

I am so happy about this. Given my financial situation I wrote off ever dreaming of owning a Fort Max. I can not express how happy I am. I know some of you have said it will take away from the specialness of this toy by everyone owning one but this toy will be special to me.

I actually already have a C9 Fortress Maximus and 2 Brave Maximuses.

1 of the BM I got years ago at a grand price of USD 149, the second MISB one I also got few years afterwards at USD 510 shipped.

I'll probably get an Encore Fort Max - since I'd like to see what a new Fort Max looks like hehe, not to mention he'll come with a Master Sword too!

For me it'll be great because i get a minty fresh figure, and the accessories. The parts i am missing would end up costing me more than to buy a new one.

Yeah im with rocman, undecided on this one. Fort Max is my favourite mould, i have a 3 releases...i want to get this one but would love it to be different enough that you can tell the difference when displayed next to each other (maybe paint app instead if stickers or a slightly different shade of colour)

I would like to see a "Baddie Maximus" to even up the playing field.. Maybe with a different head master.. Scorpy and Zarak Vs Fort, Grand and Brave just doesn't look fair to me.
Someone got me with "Dread" last April fools and i really like the idea. Maybe Ehobby can help me out

Keep in mind that Encores have shown to have lesser material quality when compared to their original G1 release and even their previous 'Takara' reissues.

I am expecting Max to have a bit of cost cutting given his size but you never know. Well it all depends on the condition of your current Max.
