They say you will encounter wild Pokemon and rivals via street pass too. Really looking forward to this as I really haven't played Pokemon since gold/silver

That would require other people to have streetpass on. I barely ever find anyone these days. It will be like an updated pokewalker from HG/SS if you can encounter wild pokes while walking.

I haven't even started Black yet, let alone Black/White2. I can't keep up with you Master Trainers. I do want to get a 3DS eventually, but am patient and will wait for a good price.

True I haven't carried my 3DS around for ages but maybe this will be the killer app that gets people back into it. Maybe EBgames will have free street pass Pokemon or pokeballs instore

I too have been waiting for a game to test out my 3DS properly as the only other games i have for it are The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and Tales of the Abyss.
