    Talking Arcade Machines

Im starting my next project today, i received a nice package today with buttons and joysticks to start building an Arcade Machine!

I'll be running Mame, Amiga and C64 emulators on it. Once completed the first game i'll be playing will be Transformers!

    Seconded..... This looks pretty cool!

I've always wanted my own arcade machine, never thought of actually building one.

    Good luck man....

Yesterday i constructed the control panel (if thats what you want to call it). I did the programming of the software last night, my stripped down win XP machine boots straight into emulation! I managed to get the mame, amiga, ps1 & ps2 emulators to work, but no luck with the C64. This afternoon when i get a chance im gonna wire up the panel and try it out!

Im actually gonna cheat buy buying a pre-made outer box as i dont have the skills to build that from scratch, then just wire in the control panel, pc and monitor.

I will be cutting out either an autobot or decepticon symbol and the bottom of the machine and lighting it up either red or purple. Hard choice!

Keen to see how you go with this!
Where are you getting your parts from?
If you're looking for Japanese parts at all, i've bought several times from Akihabara shop

As someone who spent the better part of my youth inside dingy video game arcades feeding coin hungry machines, I'm also quite interested to see how this turns out. Best of luck rocman12
