Default Toy Review- Transformers United Seeker Set:Ace

Griffin or someone else might want to add some info later, but I received mine today and all I can say is that I LOVE it!!!
The paint jobs are fantastic and they just scream Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp.
Packaging is nice and big and has a nice G1 backdrop in the box.
5/5. Impressive. Get it from RK. Only took a week.

Ok. I'm going to do a comprehensive review here (well, over the top anyway)
I got this in January and I've been itching to do a review.

    I'll start with the packaging.
For starters, as you know, this comes in a very stylized box, with various nods and other things.
    This is the box front:

The art is beautiful IRL with a nice picture of the three original seekers, which combines with the elite set's box to form one massive art thing that was shown before release.
Moving on to the back, there are some interesting bios with tech specs and various gimmick diagrams.

This has a book style box, which is held together by velcro, which works nicely and is sturdy. You can get a very clear view of the seekers in their jet forms here and this is perfect if you want to display them MIB, as they shine well in the box, especially with the metallic paint apps in various places.

It also may interest some that the small white text in the corner of the flap has the original G1 text with the "World transformed" thing.

Opening it up, the background of the clamshell plastic insert is a VERY nice G1 Decepticon theme, which I currently use to display them and can be used to show any classics display well and is about as tall as an ultra figure. (maybe a bit more)

Moving onto the bots, which I'll start with in jet mode. (sorry for the bad picture taking)

Up first, we have Starscream, who straight up is THE BEST figure in this set, in either mode IMHO.

Apart from a couple different paint apps, Screamer's jet mode looks pretty much identical to the henkei release and is more of a greyish white, although leaning more into white. This works great for Starscream and doesn't have that bleached effect that the Universe figure seemed to have.

Moving on to the side, you can see the metallic red exhaust ports, which compliment the uniform white nicely.

Also note that he has the Decepticon symbol on his nose and a good amber coloured cockpit.

Here's a few more pics of the underside and back sections, showing off his magnificent metallic paint apps.

Moving on to the bot mode of Starscream, which shines. (literally)

The red, while not chrome, is a very good, metallic red, more like coke can red with a slightly more orangey tint, to suit Starscream's style.

The blue is perfect for this figure and is a sky blue kind of metallic blue that adds a lot of cartoon accuracy.

His shoulder exhausts have grey highlighting and unfortunately no arrows, which I am still fine with.

We again have the darker face grey that Starscream had in the cartoon, which is noticeably darker than SW and TC, of course.
The mold shows nearly no degradation issues, though the wings seem to loosen off the body a bit, which is also evident with my Generations Thundercracker.

The metallic paint is BEAUTIFUL on this figure and really makes the toy pop and is quite cartoony in scheme.

Overall, Starscream is the best of the three and is magnificent in that respect. The colours and metallic paint apps add a lot to the figure and work better than the bleach-like colour on the Universe toy.

I would rate this just above the henkei version, due to the more vibrant colours and the metallics. Nearly worth the price of admission (though with Skywarp makes it well worth) and is a great version of Screamer and I think the most definitive version we have right now, IMO.

So far, this set is a good thing to pick up for anyone looking for any seekers they may have missed, or for those looking for some good cartoon-accuracy.
I personally bought this because of three reasons:
-Much better prices altogether than the previous versions of the figures (maybe not TC)
-SS and SW seem to have much better colours and detail than previous versions
    -I like seekers.

4.5/5, so far. Next up will be the next best, Skywarp. Stay tuned.
Hope you liked my long review.

Skywarp should be up tomorrow night if I have time. (freakin' school) I've take the photos a couple days ago so it should be fine, unless I somehow miraculously lose my camera while I'm at school.

I really want to get SW out of the way and do TC soon, seeing as he's basically my fave character ATM. I've started collecting him now.
His toy may be the weakest of this set, but he's still awesomesauce in that respect.
