That's a big purchase for your first BW TF That chrome does look superb with it being pristine and not flaking

I am toying with the idea of not opening it…

That's how I've got MISB Cryotek, Depth Charge, Rampage, TM2 Blackarachnia clogging my room for the last 2 years So tempted to free them to open up some space for myself..

I think I'm just being paranoid with the chrome parts Had TM Megatron (T-rex) as a kid and played it with quite a bit without issue; lately I've had TM2 Megatron out of package and have transformed him a few times without any issues or flaking.

Maybe a forum member that's played with BW TM's more often in recent years can shed some light on the chrome's degradation?

Got these today. The FOC stuff locally and Internet order for the 3P stuff.

I had previously bought (but not opened) the separate FOC versions, refunded 'em as this set is cheaper (and Vortex looks better, packaging much cooler!)

<shrugs> I've never had problems with Megatron's chrome flaking, nor most of my other Transmetals.

The only ones I've experienced have been:
+ Rhinox. But that's cos I was pretty rough with him. Even then, the flaking is minimal.
+ Ravage. That toy is notorious for flaking badly. I was never rough with that toy, but it flakes if I look at it wrong. That'd be the worst flaking Transmetal toy IMO (thank goodness I only paid RRP for it).

Not BW, but BM Ultra Jetstorm also flakes just as bad as Ravage. Gah. Rest of them have been fine as far as I can tell.
