Recently I saw sets of mega bloks WoW in target. Just want to know what they think of this series. I read up that there will be starcraft next year and may do a diablo series down the track as well.

Because I'm a WOW addict I have actually got all the sets. Lego they are not let me tell you this straight away. A lot of the parts so far have been specialised for the particular set they are made for so there won't be a lot of cross matching and building your own things ( I could be wrong). Saying that they are nice looking, My only real grip is there seems to be some extrusion nozzle burn in the plastic (where the plastic is injected there is a discoloured swirl pattern on 1 item so far). The individual figures are hard rubber based, You may be able to swap the armour around but you can't swap body parts like Lego. All in all they are nice looking quirky items but not up to Legos standard of building blocks.
I am, Saw the ones out in Target as well. Just put almost all on layby. Well, not all, I did buy outright the Orc figure and the Griffin with the Wolf knight. Most of the parts are indeed hard rubber instead of the building block plastic. Ive also Spotted the biggest set in TRU for sale price - Deathwing Dragon with small castle set up. It took me 4 hours to build coz they are packed not the same way as Lego. With Lego if its the car part of the set your building , it's all in one plastic, while in Megabloks, it's packed according to parts... e.g. all flat parts in one pack, all one stud parts in another pack all large panels in one pack, all brick in one pack so you really have to open all and wade thru to find the piece you need. Really labor intensive. The parts have a lot of extra in the end. There's a lot of detailing done fro the minifigures and it looks pretty well when finished.
Better grab them all now while on sale at Target as that is where the cheapest pricing is. Dunno til when is their reduced pricing gonna end. Although they don't have The Deathwing set which is why I grabbed it from TRU while on sale - $99. Ive only to put the goblin bikie, and Gnome chopper guy on layby. Couldn't find the catapult Blood elf and human set in Target. They have them in Myers but they have it in full price so I didnt bother , Ill just wait for target to stock up.
Ill try to post pics soon. Finished it last night but lighting is poor and today is not so good as well due to rain.

Most of my sets were from BigW, I did pick up the Sindragosa set from Target for $29.99 on special. I guess a nice touch in the medium to large sets is the random loot bag containing rare to ledgendary weapons. I thought Target had the Large purple Zepplin on sale for $79.99 as I still have this on lay-by, I was going to ask BigW to price match otherwise I'd cancel it and pick the set up from Target.

Thanks for quick response guys, appreciated it very much.
Mega bloks will still be on sale through next week as well (20% off).
That deathwing set, I didn't see it at castle hill yesterday but have everything else there.
I think i might saw it at Macquarie centre the other day. I might go and check it out after work to confirm this.
The paint apps on those mini figures (lich king) amazed me, so much detail for such small figure.
Yeah I wasn't gonna buy em actually when I saw some of the boxes on "preview" display at Gametraders or was it somewhere else - selling PC/Xbox etc games... although I was quite impressed at the detailing especially since it's tiny figs the moment I saw that Lich King set at Target.... picked it up andadded every box I could get my hands on and went staright to the layby counter.
Try TRU stores for the Deathwing set Ma5imu5, as they have it on sale in Parramatta TRU for $99 where I got mine, not sure if it's all their stores that have the sale for Megabloks...
@ 1orion: yeah they have the Zeppelin on sale at $79... as the usual I guess is the price close to what Myers is charging for the set. $129 or something...
Im wondering what other sets would be they have upcoming? It's all awesome, hope they don't can the line too quickly
