Yeah, those women were wrong to do that. There's the accident factor of the cat's involvement, but that wouldn't have happened without their actions.

At least their actions weren't malicious. They were misguided and rude, sure.

I think the 'pushing their kid onto the road' comparison is WAY over the top though. Maybe 'incandescent rage' was disproportionate to the situation? Maybe you should have expressed your displeasure, and told them you expected that they, as people with good manners, would replace the damaged items, and that you're extremely disappointed they would do something like that when a guest in someone else's home.

Using that comparison would put someone offside pretty quick, I'd imagine. If they pointed out it was a stupid comparison, well, they were right, no offence.

Though it was guided, it was still an accident.


*I am surprised they did this to statues. Toys I can kinda understand due to the kids plaything mentality, but people usually assume statues have some value. And it's not like you can pose statues in a rude way anyway.
