The thing is this is not news. I remember reading in a car magazine years ago about VW doing that. It's hardly been a secret.

I don't think that this will make them more eager to sell licenses. A few billion in fines is hardly going to be offset by a few Porche TFs being sold.

From Takara Tomy we now have Shockwave, and Hot Rodimus incoming. We also have a Legends Springer. Can we expect Kup, and Blurr to follow and maybe others? Will they be in the masterpiece line? or will they just do releases for the Legends line. I'm still hoping for a MP Galvatron even though there is a voyager announced for Titans return. Takara may just settle for the voyager. Does anyone want Kup or Blurr to be given the masterpiece treatment? Im not overly keen, because I feel these characters could be done as deluxes in other lines. Im hoping they show up as new molds in Titans return, and show up later in Takara's Legends line.

Remember on Friday's we would often have some new Masterpiece reveal? Feels so long ago now. I know we are still getting Movie Masterpieces which I do like, but damn the G1 MP news has all dried up.

If I had not recently developed an unhealthy (for my wallet) habit of collecting MP-10 variants I would have hardly spent a cent so far this year. The Masterpiece speculation thread on TFW has become utterly sad.

Yea I'm slightly sad on the MP announcement front. Movie stuff never grabbed me. Great for those that it does. But I want some more G1 stuff, or even more BW. Hanging for Dinobot when he comes out to have my BW shelf lookin cooler
