And yet local MP releases still cost more than from Japan, even with the lower dollar.
It would be good if some or any of these rumours are true. Not holding my breath though.

Aussie / Yen cross rate is only down 5-10% depending on where you measure it. So buying from Japan still makes a lot of sense. It's the USD that's a killer, tough at the moment to buy from BBTS, TFSource etc.

A good "reporter" doesn't reveal his sourcesI'm sure the person wouldn't care but his company might.
Just on the Yen, it is better now than when I went there are few years ago (85 yen for an Aussie dollar in 2012) and Transformers were still a comparative bargain, so if you can source them from there instead of the US it's not such a big downer, don't forget there are a couple of well priced online local sellers now, we are fairly spoilt for choice even with the poor dollar.

Takara Tomy's Tomica department have licensed porsche toys, and I beleive that's the department Shogo Hasui went through to get the license for MP Bumblebee (and Wheeljack?).
Also, Porsche is owned by the Volkswagen group - which itself is majority owned by Porsche SE. And they let us have Bumblebee... so...
we'll just have to wait and see, I suppose. No doubt the fandom would explode if it turns out to be correct.
Supposedly, there's a Galvatron in the works and the engineering for Jazz is completed too. But, again, we'll just have to waitsinner pls
MP Jazz is the only MP on my wishlist.

It's difficult to argue that Leader Class Galaxy Convoy isn't already perfect, IMO.
