Agreed. Instead of putting another Bumblebee in every wave, how about giving us a variant "grunt-former" in every wave or assortment? Seriously. That way Hasbro can still pump out repaints that have better odds of selling over more shelf/peg warming Bumblebees. Most people don't want an army of Bumblebees... but how many of us would want to collect an army of Insecticons/Junkions/Sweeps/Vehicons etc.???

I don't like collecting multiples, but I would collect variants of troop builder figures. They could release them in:
+ Diaclone-colours (like the Insecticon Clone Army from eHobby, and maybe even use the same names if they can)
+ Deluxe Insecticons (e.g. Kickback repainted as Ransack and Venom, Shrapnel as Chop Shop, and Hardshell as Barrage)
...and then do the same thing with the TF Prime Insecticons! I'd buy 'em all!

Not until 1 minute ago. It's called the "Flaming (or Blazing) Fortress". A quick Google search says that Hasbro sold it as the "Blazing Eagle" transport station.

...not what I'd personally consider cheap. Those Soundwaves are Encore reissues, not originals. And I don't think they're complete either. At Mandarake usually if the bottom of the sticker has some red writing, it's telling you some information about the toy that usually makes it less-than-perfect. e.g. it may be loose in box, stickers may be already applied, it may be missing something, or it may even be a KO (at least they tell you ). The image is a bit too blurry for me to read the kanji properly, but one of them says something about the stickers, and the other says "missing", but I can't make out the rest. Encore Soundwave originally sold for 4500JPY MISB, and those ones are selling for 7350~8400JPY... almost double that price, and in 'questionable' condition.

Mandarake... I find their prices can be expensive for some things, but sometimes you can find a good deal on other stuff. I bought a Alternity Convoy (complete loose mint in box) from there once for about 3000JPY. But I must say that I really like and admire Mandarake's policy with openly disclosing any imperfections about their toys on their price stickers. No news is good news - no blurb on the bottom means the toy's pretty much perfect (like that Stranglehold... still way overpriced though IMHO). They do sell KOs there, but they clearly label it completely removes the deception factor and customers can make an informed choice. I'm by no means condoning the manufacture and sales of counterfeit toys, but I find it to be a somewhat more scrupulous business practice than most other sellers who don't openly disclose the nature of their toys.
