I don't get it... why not just wait for the Hasbro version? When is this toy slated to come out?

guess i like the look of the Tak/tomy version, plus as you know that the Hasbro versions always look a lot cheaper with the color schemes( especially with the greys plastics ). Due out in Sept.

Yeah, but it all depends on the price. I got Hasbro MP10 Optimus Prime because it was a LOT cheaper (about $76 cheaper than TakTOM's RRP, not incl. postage). I've decided to get TakTOM's Beast Hunter Voyager Optimus Prime because even including postage, the price works out to be nearly the same as the Hasbro version here. While the TakaraTOMY versions are often nicer looking, to me it also depends on the price difference and whether I think it's worth paying for the differences.

Hmmm... I'm gonna be overseas in late Sept/early Oct... if I happen to find one in my travels at an acceptable price I might grab one and bring it home with me (probably have to carry it on my lap in the plane. )

Hmm, sounds like its gonna be a shelf warmer. With different versions and local stores selling them, it should be in abundance!

Yeah, good point. I don't think I'll be bothering importing this toy.

Um, just think I should point this out, the image they use for Metroplex has a little disclaimer saying it's the overseas version of Metroplex, so theoretically, that is the US version in the pic.

Exactly My guess is that they'll be heavily discounted 6 months after release. If I see one for the right price, I just might be tempted.

I'd honestly kinda like the toy to shelfwarm for a tiny bit, as it would give me more time to find it and have the cash ready. (unlike the MPs )

I'll be waiting 'til the shelves are nice and toasty.

A carded toy has an average shelf life expectancy of 1 year. The average boxed toy, 2 years. So seeing this toy sit on shelves for 2 or even 3 years would not necessarily class it as "shelf warmer."
