Totally agree. The set is a bit lost on me now. The new 3rd party Predakings have set a new standard for combiners and these now feel like they're below par.

Don't get me wrong these are a nice modern take on these characters, but I guess I just wanted to see something much more faithful to the G1 original. FP's MM just doesn't feel like MM

Still quite liking the look of these. Not-Deadend looks a bit gappy in the photos but the size of these figures in hand mitigates that to some extent.

I think they missed a step with the release order. To have to first two releases within a month of eachother and then a 4-5 months before the next figure was bad enough, but then for the second to be a retool of the first figure killed their momentum.

I understand that it's not feasible to have four individual limb bots and keep the product cost effective, but to release the two retools one after the other was a misstep. It strikes me as something they could have stood to push their release schedule back two or three months for. I've not even bothered taking T-Bone out of the box, and won't until I've got the rest of the set.

Yes, I agree that MMC has certainly upped the ante and that FP is no longer the uncontested 'king' of the 3rd party world. However I am still liking these and looking forward to having the complete Stunticon/Menasor set.

I still like them, quite a bit, Motormaster captures the feel of the original enough for me, and a lot of those old scramble city combiners are rather generic in robot mode anyway.

And In my opinion while MMC might be on track to take FP's crown until I have the new MMC toys in my hand FP is still king. Sure the pics look great but I want the cold (hopefully) kinda hard proof.
