Yes everything will be reissued in time but at what cost? This current release of Grimlock is nearly double the original RRP. Thus I can understand the scramble to obtain the Hasbro Soundwave.

Despite this, it is a good point, avoid paying marked up prices for recentish MP's kids (a lesson I learnt with Sideswipe) as there will be re-runs.

Sadly KO's appear afterwards too (case in point SS and a pair of the cassettes so far...)

$200 for the new Grimlock seems pretty reasonable to me, given the cost of the original plus inflation. I'd have been pissed if I'd just bought that previous one, though.

For Soundwave, I just gave up and ordered one off eBay. Hasn't arrived yet, but I'm happy with the price. Cost me $180 including shipping. I'm fine with paying $30 to not have a headache, and to know for sure that I've got one.

$30 aggravation tax seems reasonable to me.
Looking To Buy Either Siege Or Earthrise Ratchet, and Buzzworthy SS86 ER Cliffjumper.

There were plenty when I was there in the first week of the holidays. About $200 AUD.

It's not reasonable given inflation. Thats only been like 8% since 2009

The answer is rising costs of labour in China. Wages growth since 2009 has been 60%. This is roughly in line with the 2013 price of MP-08 ($200) vs the 2009 price of MP-08 ($130).

If this trend continues the common Australian will not be able to afford TF's! (Of course manufacturing will simply move to a cheaper labour source like Mexico or Africa to counter this)

Auction hadn't been up long, and the seller had under 100 feedback.

I haven't received it yet, so who knows. But it was worth the risk.

As I know, labor wage did not change that much about 60% high. Main reason is americans' QE2 and QE3 dramatically increased plastic's price.
