Hi all, new member and new to toys in general. im 25 years old, been a huge collector of sport trading cards and thought ide start collecting my childhood obsession! transformers and beast wars! i have a few from my childhood which are missing all sorts of guns and weapons and all my bullets are probably still in my cousins stomach as he used to chew them!

    so got a few questions.

    1. Is there any stores, swap meets or markets that sell transformers or more importantly Beast wars from 80s,90s and early 2000s?
    2. Are there any gallaries for transformer toys of that sort i can go check out?
    3. Are there any price guides?

    thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Will try to answer your questions but not much of a collector so others will be able to provide more comprehensive information.

    1. I live in Sydney so only know of the Parramatta Fair that's on every now and then. Check the Megatron's Meetup section for more information on this and other meetups that may be near where you live. For security reasons you will have to log in to see this area.

    2. Transformer toy galleries can be found on the Seibertron website: http://www.seibertron.com/transforme...galleries/new/

You can sort by series and subgroup to filter results.

    3. I only know of the Toyfare magazine who sort of has price guides for Transformers - but I think the prices can be somewhat subjective (e.g. depends on what people in general are willing to pay for). Most of the time, I think the sales in the Members' Sales area on this forum are pretty good when compared with eBay.

I hope this information helps, and welcome again.

You could try your luck at the Sandown Fair.

    Mabuhay and Welcome!!

Sam has answered all your questions already, Ive nothing much to add.
With where to buy, there's also ebay, but it's more of a last resort. Try and get to toy fairs and dig into some of the accessory boxes some sellers have.
Im afraid parts for Beast wars are not as common as that for G1 or later versions of TFs but they are available especially overseas ebay. You just need to have paypal though. Also check the seller's feedback numbers before you leap. Do a little light background check first. Some sellers have been burned by certain overseas sellers so be careful. Some sellers are quite good and specialize in selling parts.

if you got time you can post up a wants list as well in the scout section of the threads mebbe someone here has parts they're willing to sell off to you as well.

    Cheers!

Welcome to the forums. Hmm in regards to swap meets, sometimes some of the Victorian members meet up at conventions or arranged lunch meets, keep an eye out on Megatron's Meetups thread.
