    Default Generic robot body?

Have any of you come across something that could work as a generic robot form?

    I'm thinking something like this:

A squared off, G1 Autobot kind of shape that could be utilised to build custom figures on top of. Custom head, custom kibble & paint, preferably able to hold action poses.

I'm looking for the holy trinity... cheap, reasonable quality and available... but I figured someone might have an idea.

    Gundam kitbash?
    I'd try Hobbyco.

I second the motion, but do you want it to transform as well? Gundam Strike is a good one, either 1/144 or 1/100 scale. Or the Mk II

Haven't bothered to research this, but I would say a murder becomes assassination when there is political motivation behind it.

No, transforming wont be necessary. At least not until I have more experience in building bots from scratch.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. The Gundams I saw look like a good source for arms and other pieces. I don't know much about Gundams but it's a great place to start.

I hear Gundam stuff can be quite expensive though, so I'd still appreciate any suggestions for figures I could buy en masse.

The master and perfect grade kits can go for $50-$250.
But there are beginner kits for as low as $7.

If you want to base it off a transformer either deluxe classics Optimus or Cybertron voyager Scattershot are common and usually cheap.

EDIT: scratch my idea. Those gundams seem the way to go.

You could try getting a Gundam model kit and a car model kit and combine them to make a custom Transformer. That would be a proper kitbash.

It really depends on how big you want to make them, I'd classify it as this: 1/144 scale = scout class transformer, 1/100 scale = deluxe class, 1/60 scale = voyager class. You get much more of a choice with with 1/144 & 1/100 but the higher you go in scale, the better the quality & design of the gundam, the trade off is the lack of choice plus the price. I still recommened the Strike from Gundam Seed. It's got a modern look, majority of it is white (easier to paint) and the panels are straight forward & easier to work with. Take your time with it though
