You might want to establish yourself here until you're level three and post something in the WTB/seeking thread.

If you're asking about specific releases and when, I'm sure some of our members can help you, with their almighty knowledge.

Madman have done some releases of various cartoons, including a Japanese collection or something of that nature. You might want to look them up or someplace like JB-HIFI.

Good luck with that. You may have to use RAWs for those series. TV Nihon did the first 10 or so episodes a few years ago and then stopped. Not sure if the Beast Wars series have ever been subbed.

The earlier JP Only series (Headmasters, Masterforce, Victory and the Zone OVA) are all licensed by Madman and readily avaliable in a handy collection.

I asked Madman a couple of years ago if they were planning anything with Car Robots, Micron Legacy, Super Link and Galaxy Force. They said they would love to but someone else has the rights to them.

As Gouki said, the Japanese G1 stuff is available on licensed DVDs by Madman.

There are online versions of Beast Wars II and Neo out there -- another member here downloaded and burnt me a copy of them. I personally have all of Car Robot and Micron Legend on VHS (NTSC)... I really need to get them converted to disc. You can find unlicensed copies of Super Link and Galaxy Force in Asian DVD shops.

I take it that you and/or your son can understand Japanese? Because none of these series have ever been officially translated into English. I think there are fan subs/dubs of Beast Wars II, but I don't know of they managed to do the entire series or if only some parts. I'm sure the Beast Wars movie was fan subbed though. I'm not aware of any fan translated versions of any other JP series that came after that (i.e. BW Neo onwards). The Asian DVDs do have English^Engrish subtitles... but the Engrish is so bad you can't understand what the hell they're saying (you're better off just watching it raw rather than being distracted trying to read unintelligible Engrish).
