If MP10 and the potential MP God Ginrai are to be roughly the same size in truck mode, Ginrai would have to tower over Spike...(let alone God Ginrai could be a freaking expensive toy) Just my random geeky thoughts though

If scale is actually an issue and let's face it, scale and TFs rarely go hand in hand. They could cheat a little bit, make Ginrai in his armour only part of the engine block if need be and there ya go.

However, I suspect that Spike with MP 10 isn't in scale anyway so it may well just be a moot point.

God Ginrai would be a massive toy though. I'd still want one. But I bet the could probably give him an accurate look and keep the toy within reason with the other MPs.

The only one who stands out is MP-02 Magnus. And yeah - I admit...I can't give explanations for that figure. But it's a blatant obvious repaint. And every other repaint after that has had another letter added to the characters MP title to separate them from the mainline which then set the new trend for sub line masterpiece figures.

The original Ultra Magnus was a repaint of Optimus Prime (well, the original Powered Convoy was a repaint of Battle Convoy), just with a different trailer that could also attach to become body armour. MP01 and MP02 were MP versions of only the cab robots, neither had the trailers. It's just that Ultra Magnus' trailer is more iconic as part of Ultra Magnus' look. But the original Ultra Magnus always was a white Optimus Prime.

...having said that, I skipped MP02, even when it was available here for $80 at Target.

Haha, sorry Gok - what I meant by not being able to explain the figure was why the MP-02 repaint was not given an extra letter on the end of it's MP title (eg: MP01-UM) just like the other repaints later in the MP line (eg: MP12-T, MP03-G), given that MP02 was a repaint of the Prime mold and NOT a depicted character in the G1 animated series as a "white" version of "OP" without his armor
