While I'm not a very heavy Beast Wars fan and might be missing out on the nostalgia-pull of a Depth Charge figure, I'm pleasantly surprised by the toy now that I've had a change to transform and play around with it. I loved the Generations Terradive figure when it first came out, and didn't think it would be possible to improve on it with a new deco. But the colour scheme is beautiful and there are some really nice touches to the toy, such as a trident for his weapon, and a flight/manta ray mode.

All in all, I think its one of the best membership figures they've released. There are a few minor flaws, such as the artwork on his bio card not matching the toy (and featuring an autobot logo rather than a maximal one), but he's going to be a pivotal figure in the ongoing club comic and I'm definitely glad to add this one to my collection.

Here's Depth Charge in flight mode from the front

and now, here's Depth Charge from the side.

Note the clever deco of an actual "eye" near the cockpit, as an homage to the original manta ray toy.

It's the best Depth Charge toy ever released. (Yes, that's not an achievement.) It was a clever mould choice - looks like a sting ray, has a nautically-themed trident and the 'eyes' on the side of the altmode work well.

I don't like it but not sure why, I most probably would have gone with something that has a bit more substance as that looks to light on to be Depth Charge. I considered the original BW toy to be really good, Could be because I'm a beasties fan but this version is meh to me.

I really like the alt mode, not so much the bot mode.

Yeah, got mine in the mail yesterday. Feel the same, very spindly in robot mode and the face isn't great - nice alt mode though

Mine arrived last night...the posty literally through it at the door...not impressed
Toy is intact though thank goodness. As mentioned in another post it was sent from Sweden?? Must be cheaper for funpub to get it sent from China to Sweden then internationally as apposed to China to US to internationally??
Maybe they should of considered using Swedish back packers to do the deliveries to save costs even more Maybe they would of been more considerate when delivering.

As for the toy... a very clever mold choice indeed, they didnt need to do much with this one. We all know and love Depthcharge as a big bulky Ultra class transformer so as mentioned he seems a little lacking in that department...but what can you do?? He is a deluxe size figure...

Overall...happy to have him my collection

The pin holding the right shoulder to the wing is missing on mine. Not impressed with my first incentive figure.
