Hasbro/Takara are not screwing us over. There is plenty of the Takara SW available. And as far as Hasbro goes, the toy hasn't even been released in Australia yet. Even in the USA they only had a limited online early release to coincide with SDCC and will be getting more in August.

People like Trev I can understand trying to get one ASAP. He lives in the middle of nowhere and is at real risk of missing out. But regular folk that live in the more civilized world should have no problem. As I stated earlier (possibly in another thread) I passed up TRU MP-10 3 times before I finally bought one. Most people got one if they wanted one. It was mainly the people that passed and then started chasing them when they were almost all gone. SW will be no different. There are 800 units allocated to Australia. That's around 15 per store. If you want one, you'll get one.

And as for TRU stock being crap, I agree with Sinner, just because they don't stock what you like doesn't mean they have nothing. My local TRU has bugger all in TFs. Yet when it comes to things like Skylanders, TMNT, Lego, and all the girls stuff, they actually have quite a bit.

Ya cheeky bugger! I'd launch a massive, angry rebuttal if it wasn't true

Well.....WA has crap, I will not be making such a statement if it wasn't true.
The number of Skylanders are worse than a Jbhifi store. There are only 3 stores here in WA and TWO of them are withing my range everyday and I constantly see a bad range of toys as in overall.

Like I said before, it wasn't about "I Like" its about IT being a TOY store. Please look at it from my view that the whole building is TOYS. Now whats the point having a specialised store when you loose to variety of other unspecialised store?

I think you seriously have not seen what I have seen and why I am so disappointed. If anything, the first TRU in Perth was what I felt a TRU was but it closed down. It may be a different story in your area.

I hardly and didn't see mp10 in WA perhaps other people did.

Don't forget about their absolute lack of product knowledge! One of my neighbours used to work for TRU and she'd also complained about the total absence of any in-service training for product knowledge, unlike her boyfriend who worked at Bunnings and had excellent product training. On the plus side, she gave me her staff discount card. (sadly it's since expired and she no longer works there )

Department store staff in Japan on the other hand have phenomenal product knowledge!

I've been to TRU in Perth CBD and Joondalup. The stores were physically smaller but stockwise no worse than what we had in Sydney at the time. (mind you this was a decade ago... *cough* )

Fair enough. I can't argue with you about WA's stock as I wouldn't have a clue.

But even if they are a specialty toy store, you can't expect them to have every toy currently on sale in stock at any given time. There are simply to many and those stores have to work within the confines of the space they have while appealing to as broader range of children as they can. That can't be easy. And it is obviously working for them as if it wasn't they wouldn't be profitable. And a non-profitable store would have shut up shop a long time ago. So while they may not have what YOU want. They keep enough range to keep them making money.

It's no different to any other specialty store. Take the electrical department of Harvey Norman or Domayne, we have one in Warrawong that has a huge TV section. And while they have a stupid amount of TVs, they don't have every variant of every model, because the space required to do that would prevent them from stocking other items like computers, games, phones, cameras, etc.

I'm just saying it's a bit unrealistic to expect TRU to have everything you want to collect. Different people have different interests and they have to cater to that. Sometimes to your detriment. Every time I go into my local TRU, I am almost garanteed disappointment, but if I take my 7 year old niece in there, she nearly has a fit from happiness at all the stuff she wants.

Oh and Trev, "Middle of Nowhere" wasn't my first descriptive choice. If you've listened to Wired World of Sports, you'd know what I was originally thinking

My problem was, I only realised how bad it was when I went to look for Winnie the Pooh products (for someone's birthday). It was bad, and I ended up buying from Target.
This was my issue, it wasn't just the "I like, or I wished" it was whats current in comparison.

I could understand no YOTS edition, hey thats fine by me. but when I look at things like the Skylanders, lego, and a few more and then compare it to Kmart, Target and BigW, is like someone is not doing their job.

btw Perth store was smaller but it had a lot more stuff back then. I never failed to walk in everytime I passed it even though it has none of what I mostly collect.

I do not want to see TRU fail, and that is my concern. atm, is getting there because I see Toy World having a better range and variety.

Perth store has closed long long ago before Tokyo Underground (Gundam specialist) became above ground it was already gone. It was a waste, because I liked that store.

BTW you mentioned Joondaloop, that store When I last went was actually a bit more promising than two of the other stores here Cannington and Innaloo but its quite a distance. There is one more in Morley.

Anyway, mp soundwave. My only concern is there will not be enough for WA.

Only saying this because I seen what happened to YOTS Omega for BigW. I do know NSW had more than enough though.

Thus for WA would be more of a challenge to get MP soundwave.

Anyone from WA saw MP10 in any stores? I did looked around and thought I might have missed or felt it didn't even came to WA.

Ha! I've listened to every 12th Man cd - yes I know the phrase you are thinking of and use it to describe my location often

I did. Managed to snag 2 in total from different stores/stockdrops, both for loose display (no, no scalping!).

That being said, I've now ordered two Soundwaves from Robot Kingdom and an Acid Storm from TRU (shipped to my drop shipping address).

Cannot be bothered anymore, would rather just be done with on some things, yknow?
