Comparison shot, with other "Thrilling 30's" Generations Legends:

Legends Starscream is an exceptional figure, and it's hard to fault him. The transformation is nice and fun, the mold is very nicely detailed, and the paint application is nice and consistent across the board. However, his transformation is tricky in that it requires his arms to swing down, which almost always results in his arms being pulled off their ball joint, due to the stiffness of the part his arms connect to. His head is pretty much fixed, just like Bumblebee from the same wave, but unlike Prime and Megatron in this wave, who at least have head swivels. The rest of him is very poseable, however.

The worst part is probably Waspinator. To me, Waspinator only looks halfway decent in bug mode, and even that part is super flimsy due to the way the wings work. His head and tail almost never line up to his spine and wings, as that part flops around pretty badly, so if you're getting this as a display piece, prepare for lots of careful fiddling to get him look just right.

Easily better than previous legends class incarnations that I've seen of Starscream or any other seeker, and definitely a fun toy.

I had a brief look at liegeprime's ... the way that Waspinator connects to Starscream in jet mode makes me giggle in immature ways.

Otherwise it does look to be quite a nice figure for its size and price point and a good adaptation of the original IDW G1 F22 Starscream. Making Waspinator into his weapon was just brilliant. Really hope Hasbro releases this toy here.

I don't think the targetmaster modes for the little guys look terribly bad (except for maybe Chop-Shop, where they don't even try to make him look like anything but Chop-Shop sitting on Megatron's arm), but they're absurdly oversized for these little guys. Perhaps being plugged into Metroplex will look better.

Hopefully they'll do something for the Decepticons legend class figures, even if it's just a Metrotitan recolour of Metroplex or something weak like that.

I love this Starscream! He looks great in both modes (notice how they can get a jet this small great, but when it comes to Voyager TFP Skyquake they make a mess of it?!?), the transformation is intuitive and fairly straight forward and the paint is well done. One of the nicest small figures of Starscream I have ever seen. Well pleased I grabbed him

Waspinator - meh. The weapon mode isn't flash, but for a figure this small having 3 modes is a decent feat. Robot mode is ok and I think the wasp mode looks good.

Overall a nice homage to G1, BW and our fav backstabber who's ghost/spark appeared in both
