In the short term, it's easier for Hasbro to settle. In the longer term, it might have been better for them to let the case come to court, with counter-suit and dragging it out as much as possible. That way they could bring HG to the point of bankruptcy and get rid of the nuisance permanently. But maybe they didn't feel they were strong enough to win... this time.

I don't think it will expire. They are just doing enough each year to maintain it in the meantime they watch like hawks for potential lawsuits.

Harmony Gold licensed three different television anime series — The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, The Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber Mospeada — from Tatsunoko Productions in 1984. It combined the three series and marketed them in the United States and other countries under the name Robotech. Harmony Gold has since renewed its license with Tatsunoko for the three series multiple times, the most recent being in March 2008, which extends the license agreement for a renewal term through March 14, 2021.

I don't know to hate Tatsunoko for not doing the right thing or HG in this case.

No, they only have the rights to SDF: Macross, Do You Remember Love?, and Flashback 2012. Plus their own copyrights, such as character names and fiction. As far as Macross goes anyway.

I never enjoy English dub. I prefer the Japanese language and English subs.

i used to like it like that but now with glasses needed to read ...i just hate it ! plus all the dub now are very good , they getting better voice actor...
