BBTS emailed a pre-order notification out around 12:39am. When I logged in at 5:30am they were sold out already.

Luckily RK isn't :-) Probably cheaper even with my PoL.

I'd rather see MP focus on NEW characters --- like finishing off the rest of the 1984 Autobot Cars (all the 84 Decepticons have already been done) and then 1985 - e.g. Dirge, Ramjet, Thrust, Snarl, Sludge, Slug^Slag, Swoop etc.!

Yeah but a lot of the 84/85 characters can be made from retooling existing moulds or they have retool potential to let TakTOM milk more money out of the mould.
e.g.

85 Seekers <--- retooled MP Starscream
Bumblebee ---> Cliffjumper ---> Hubcap (and maybe a ltd exclusive Bumper)
Trailbreaker ---> Hoist
Huffer ---> Pipes
Brawn ---> Outback
Windcharger ---> Tailgate
Gears ---> Swerve
Jazz ---> Stepper (Ltd Ex)
Inferno ---> Grapple ---> Artfire (LE) ---> Hauler (LE)
Wheeljack ---> Slicer (LE)
Mirage ---> Clear "Invisibility" Mirage (LE)
Hound ---> Detritus (LE)
Tracks ---> Road Rage (LE) ---> black Tracks (LE)
Skids ---> Crosscut (LE)

Sunstreaker would be tricky as there's no obvious repaint/retool potential, unless they make him the white police car from Diaclone and give him a new identity. It'd work as an LE (like Tiger Track).

Absolutely, GP. If you throw in the G2 & possible Diaclone repaint options, there's another avenue for mould reuse. Like yourself, I'd much rather the respective lines completed than the 'relaunch' of an existing figure. But what d'ya do?
