It's in the Oxford Dictionary. Gok could explain it better if he ever came in the 3rd party forum. While it is informal, it is a recognised English word.
Would you say "yeah" in a conversation with your manager? Or your manager's manager? A client? Or even the CEO of your company? I would and do on a regular basis. "Yeah" is an accepted word.
Have a business meeting with your manager or a client and replace yes or yeah with "yer". They will enquire as to if you are drunk. Seriously it sounds like you should be saying "hur hur" after it. It's not a word.
And with this conversation I have finally crossed over into cranky old man territory.
And to Tfiguy, this rant is nothing against you and not normally how I carry on here. My redneck cousin uses that group of letters (I refuse to acknowledge it as a word) on Facebook all the time and I now associate it with stupidity, ignorance and rednecks. So I do apologise if I put you off.

Can we just talk about transformers guys?
On the upside, it is kind of an appropriate topic for an Ultra Magnus-themed thread.Significance of semicolons and all that.

Was really liking this figure till I watched peaughs review. It just looks so tacky plastic. Looks like something I'd pick up from a weekend market :\
I wonder if Toyworld would ever release theirs? If you go on their website you can see the out line of an upcoming one that looks a lot like magnus.
I think its a great figure - could do with a little more paint/stickers to break up the plastic bits (looks like reprolables is aleady on to that) but still displays really nice none the less.
I wouldn't consider it a 'play-with' kind of figure though, doesn't feel very heavy duty, though I couldn't see the plastic or joint quality to be any sort of an issue unless you plan to transform it on a daily basis for some reason.
