custom beefed up DOTM Megatron

I actually like the official DOTM voyager Megatron, but he's just so spindly... so I got to work on a ROTF Defender Optimus Prime (the one with bugger all paint apps).
I added what the head from what I think was a FAB Megatron, trimmed the smokestacks and added a bumper using the spikes from a bionicle. The radiator grill is from the roof of a movie Ratchet.
To set the robot mode apart I removed the pin that holds the bonnet on, so he doesn't have his backpack any more. It clips on for truck mode.
I'm not sure if I have the colours right.... I tried bronze first but I think that paint was old because it went all stringy on me. After I'd finished painting I gave it a light sanding to give it a weathered look.
I think it scales better with deluxes than the DOTM voyager version.










Yeah, the cape isn't a perfect fit....

I reeally like that mould (i keep one for a Clench someday). I never thought about using it much for DotM Megs but it works - considering only his shins are from the exterior alt mode, this Optimus can be remoulded and recoloured into anyone. Great job dude

Great job buddy!!! I really like the way u created it. The weathered look is attractive but deluxe could be much better.
