Your TF collecting in 2013

How many TFs did you acquire in 2013?

I only collect early G1 and MP so my numbers arent big although it was a slow purchasing year by my previous standards (3 G1 and 2 MP).

What was your favourite?

G1 - encore Omega Supreme
MP - Optimus Prime MP10

What surprised you and was better than you expected?

encore Omega Supreme

What was your biggest disappointment?

Nothing

Did you have any milestones?

I was pleased to be very close to my goal of purchasing reissues of all the 1984 and 1985 G1 TF's to match my existing G1s from when I was a kid (I only buy new unless for parts) however I read on here that my goal will never be achieved as they wont ever reissue the Dinobots or Mirage, Sunstreaker and Wheeljack serious bummer!

How many TFs did you acquire in 2013?
Around 25 but have to review carefully to be sure.

What was your favourite?
Hasbro Masterpiece Soundwave by quite a long way! The sheer value!

What surprised you and was better than you expected?
Generations Sandstorm... got him mainly to complete the collection of triple changers, but pleasant surprised to find what an awesome retool he is. Probably one of the best ever retools out there.

What was your biggest disappointment?
FOC Deluxe Shockwave. I actually kinda like the character design, but such a big disappointment he is so small and uninspiring in toy form. BH Voyager Shockwave has taken his place on my shelf!

Did you have any milestones?
Passing 200 TFs I guess. Very modest

100+ give or take a few I have honestly been lazy this year at keeping track

What was your favourite?

Boxed Laser Optimus Prime - had been after a decent one of these for some time and Matt from transformerland was able to hook me up

What surprised you and was better than you expected?

The remoulds of some of the beast hunters...namely Bird Dreadwing and Croc Knockout. Was skeptical at first images of them but once I had them in hand, I really like there quirky colours and designs.

What was your biggest disappointment?

Having to sand back Generations Blitzwing so his shoulders would stay in place and FOC Grimlock p@#*ed me off to no end trying to get his arms to fold into place for robot mode (plus the Hasbro version I got looks so bland )

Did you have any milestones?

Acquired a G1 Fortress Maximus - something that I had assumed would never happen for a long time - thanks again to transformerland for getting this to me for a good price too!

I bought 156 official TFs, roughly, I didn't count the combiner Kreo's separately so there would be more if per figure strictly. A few may ask how did this reach up to this number - well, I army build people - so Vehicons both normal size and Cyberverse alone takes quite a lot of that number hehehe.
Aside from that it was a fruitful year with all the 3rd party stuff and DCUC and MOTUC as well as TF posters, comics and other wotnot.

Out of all that Acquisition there's been some of course that will stand out. My faves so far of all the acquisitions I got for last year are....
1) MP Soundwave,
2) Encore Fortress Maximus
3) G1 Overlord
4) All the other MP cars.

I'm also very happy in acquiring a little accessory from another toyline but is very associated and widely known and accepted (if HasTak ever produces any) accessory for beast wars Megs - a little rubber ducky


Well since I just buy nowadays what I like rather than grab the whole toyline (that means I liked a LOT of things hehehe) not a lot of my acquisitions disappoint me. If ever there are some issues - it's nothing major that Ican't live by... Hmmm the only thing that comes to mind disspointing is FOC Kickback - the figure looks good but articulation is kinda lame making playing with the toy not so enjoyable as I'd hope. Also Generatins Blitzwing's shoulder - lucky there's a 3rd party fix, but that was a disspointment for such a should've been awesome toy.

Milestones wise - Yes - G1 completed - US release figures only, I'm not even going for Jap or Euro completeness hehehe - my G1 includes original or reissues. Finally, my G1 is complete.

The final figures I needed for this was Fortress Maximus - got the Encore version... and Overlord , which I finally , finally got. SO every thing else
