Default next MP to buy... dilemma

    Hey crew,

Since joining on here and starting my MP collection i have hit a mental hurdle.

    i have so far collected;

    Megatron
    Starscream
    Soundwave

    Tigertrack
    Prowl
    Smokescreen
    Bluestreak

The question is.. WHO SHOULD I GET NEXT?

MP-01 Optimus Prime (to scale against Megatron) so expensive though...

Mp-08 Grimlock because he is awesome and i dont want to miss out.

or get (one or two) of the seekers Sunstorm, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Acid Storm.

    Let me know!

Well, MP 01 if you go for the Hasbro version would be a bit cheaper I believe although it's got neutered smokestacks.

You don't want to get the MP 10 instead and prolly wait if HasTak will develop a size equal MP megs (albeit prolly not a gun - mebbe G2 version)?

If not Id say get what is easily available so you don't miss out and have to pay by the nose later on - Acid Storm or any of the available seekers.

    Not interested in Sideswipe?
Wanted AM partner Vanguard, Myclones Dirge, G1 Victory Leo, e-hobby Dark scream ( the black version), e-hobby Magnificus
Parts- AM partner Basher-side guns, G1 Actionmaster Elite Windmill's blades[I][B]

A grimlock re-release is coming (not saying it will be cheap though).
If your Starscream is not MP-11 a re-release is just out for him also (imo, worth the upgrade).
Sideswipe may be getting another run too (there are heaps of KOs of this mold out there, that is what you see cheap).

Soundblaster, G2 Sideswipe and Wheeljack preorders exist so if they interest you also put money aside for them. UltraMagnus, Bumblebee and more are also heavily rumoured for 2014 also so again, don't leave yourself short.

MP-01/2/4 I would only consider buying if i were a completionist, or would never sell Megatron if a new version can out, or viewed it as a stand alone piece. This scale of MPs has ended. MP-04Sleep is the only version that interests me here.

I buy the Takara versions so I wait for a MP-11 version of Skywarp and Thundercracker (Takara) that must come one day. Therefore I would avoid the MP-03 versions.

So with the above being said, out of your list i would grab an Acidstorm while they can be found in sales occasionally and keep putting down money on preorders as they are now most often the cheapest way to buy offical MPs.

I assumed you had MP-10. I would buy one if a -$250 price is found.
Maybe try MP-10B to get a feel of the new Optimus. He can be bought for ~$130 minus shipping still and he is pretty cool

    Question

sideswipe and red alert as well yeah but, they're easy to get and many out there.

I could go for the MP-10 but its smaller than MP-05.

My head is telling me Grimlock thinking i don't want to miss out since its been through a couple of releases already (i think?).

Seekers because i could even up the numbers of Autobots / Decepticons on my display lol (knowing that i'll be getting more Autobots coming up eg: Wheeljack and Bumblebee)

DILEMMMMAAA first world problems aye lol

So the Hasbro versions of Thundercracker and Skywarp are a different mould/size?

Takara Skywarp is another expensive and hard to find one too.

I love the TT versions because the boxes are awesome for display as well. So really wanting to stick to them instead of average little plastic TRU style boxes.

Need Prime in original colours (although sleep version looks awesome!) and need to have him height matched vs Megatron as well.

Don't bother with MP-01. Get MP-10, not only is it a better toy but it's now in the "correct" scale. All future MP releases should scale with it and rumours are we will get a redone Megatron in the new scale at some point.

    They are.

The Hasbro & Takara Skywarp & Takara Thundercracker are based off the MP03 mold
The Hasbro TC is based on the new MP11 mold

could they possibly make a more awesome Megatron true to G1?? pain in the butt to transform yeah but is just so good. I wouldn't wanna buy another one just to line up with MP-10.. again MP-10 is better from so many reviews ive seen and read.

So Hasbro TC and Acid Storm are the MP-11 mould.. ok, i got it now.

My vote's for Grimlock - not too much of an update on the G1 mould but great nonetheless.
