I agree w/ what 5FDP and kup said. It can't be that hard to look at a toy and inspect the condition of the packaging and toy for yourself. And if you're the kind of person who wants the cardboard to be as flawless as possible, then get the toy directly from the case. Because handling by store staff when figures are shelved/pegged can cause wear (I've seen entire shelves of carded toys at some Targets where the cardbacks are BENT at the top to squeeze them into the shelf space (rather than just adjusting the height of the shelves). Short of being present when a new shipment arrives and just being there when they crack a case open (it's happened to me on a few rare occasions... moreso years ago when store staff were more willing to let people into back rooms and open cases that were still sitting on palettes), or otherwise just purchase an entire case and sell off the excess to other collectors.
