I'm also guesstimating $30 for EMS, going off of what it cost me to get my 1.5kg TakaraTomy Generations: Metroplex from them as I reckon he's likely the most comparable in packaging dimensions & weight to that of MP Ultra Magnus and Star Saber.
yup going to agree with that estimate.

HLJ used to have 20% off EMS advertised, now they just seem to have it regardless - a deal with Japan Post maybe? They process over 1,000 orders a day!

HLJ has a lot more competition than it did a decade ago, but it's still a great option when they have what you want and unlike some other outlets, they never 'scalp' popular items - you'll always pay the right price.

Amusingly, I remember one time they had an item that was solicited but cancelled and thus never ever actually produced sitting on the site for years saying it "Usually ships within 4 to 6 weeks".
Yep. And of the Japan based exporters, only HLJ and Hobby Search will actually help you out if a problem occurs. The rest (Amiami, Anime-Export, Nippon-Yasan...) basically won't want to know.
Which brings us to where we are today...

I have actually spoken to amiami and ny support, they are no where as close as to the stories I am hearing from AE .

But yes I have to agree, hobby search and hlj really drives on customer service.

I still do not like how hlj release new items and we keep refreshing till it appears somewhere.

With the weak Japan Yen they currently work out at $$188US compared to the $570US they still cost at BBTS. With nearly $400US difference Just put one in my private warehouse

Edit: LG07 Jetfire and MP Ultra Magnus just dropped today But them combined with Scorponok and a single Super Sonico figure means I'm paying $140 to have 4 items shipped But then Jetfire is big, MP Magnus is really big and Scoponok is freakin huge so guess it makes sense

I will say this for HLJ, they work fast! Whereas my last order with BBTS took almost a day to process my last credit card payment, then spent a solid 2 to 3 days in the Warehouse before shipping, HLJ processed my shipping payment within half an hour and took less than half a day to send me the 'we have shipped' notice.

Too much empty space in the HLJ box. Consequently, Optimus Prime box was crushed on the front face.

Nano Block Optimus Prime box was resealed on one side.
