Hey blackie.

Blackie was the name of my first and favourite cat. He was waiting as a stray on our doorstep when I was brought home from hospital after being born.
His fur was black as night and soft to the touch.
He had a cool personality, aloof to everyone else (in the way that cats generally are) but me.
I loved him greatly for 12 joy-filled years.

He's dead now.
