I dunno, it's not the best transformation but it's not a deal-breaker for me. I'm finding it more difficult to reconcile the randomly shiny red components.

The shiny red plastic makes me think of a Japanese United release.
Any figure that comes with swords demands wrist articulation.
On the up side, i am sure a customiser will come up with a way to use that cockpit as the robot chest.
I agree (and i think the outside of the forearms sans-armour are hollow too so the armour isn't that optional). Surely a Takara version will have better paint.
Jetfire's collarbone region also appears to be a void - are there any good pics of robot Jetfire from above looking down?

I normally don't mind faking a few things, but having a fake cockpit on the chest that looks nothing at all like the jet mode cockpit is just weird. Even the colours don't match. I know it's a homage to the toy and the cartoon version, but it still looks wrong. Why can't they just pick a direction to go with Jetfire and stick with it.
I don't mind Wingblade, at least she seems to transform more cleverly than Jetfire.
I would love that, shame they couldn't make something like Planet X Genesis. I was quite happy with Metroplex though, even though his quite different. Still came out alright. I don't own any form of Scorponok at all though, so he would be a fantastic figure to see made in the current day and age. Providing they still kept it somewhat close to the original design.
