Default Henkei Decepticon Specialists Galvatron, Astrotrain and Octane

Well, pics are up at RK of the new Decepticon henkei set. Definite pick up for me, Astrotrain looks perfect and Galvatron's paint scheme is great.

EDIT: Turns out they're under the Generations line now. Goodie.

Yeah they are, but... those 3 moulds are just so dated. I have the Galvatron mould and frankly he's atrocious. Those legs, especially the knees, yikes. his arms aren't much better. All he really has going for him is the torso and head sculpt.
Astrotrain is ok. Could be improved upon, certainly. Octane is a bit of a mess too; so hodge-podge and jumbled.

Turf the lot and start fresh, I say.

They look good enough for me, though Octane looks quite a bit derpy and awkward. Not the best looking truck mode. I'm willing to give these moulds a chance, seeing as I haven't even seen any of them IRL. I'll reserve judgement.

They really nailed the purple on Galvatron, the others are great as well. Galvatron always did have a terrible transformation though. I could see a possible revisit of Astro-train and Galvatron in the future, in the form of new voyager molds. Todays deluxes just aren't up to scratch for these characters, dated molds maybe, these are the best you can get.

Agreed - Astrotrain looks good but Galvatron in particular looks awesome! I already have the Hasbro version of these 3 so won't be picking them up. Certainly wouldn't blame others for grabbing them though

Interesting to see that they've replaced the chromes and added metallic coloured plastics. Galvatron looks better... Octane I don't think looks really any better or worse (I personally prefer the chrome on Henkei, but I don't think the metallic purple looks bad either). For Astrotrain, the colours look lighter here than on the Henkei, and I prefer the slightly darker colours. But this one looks nice too.

Great for people who skipped the previous versions, but yeah, easy pass for me.
